New Macan extends the Porsche range

On 10th April 2014, the insideKENT team
celebrated the arrival of the new Porsche Macan
at a glittering affair hosted by Porsche Centre
Tonbridge.
The Porsche Macan, which went on sale in the
UK on Saturday 12th April 2014, was this week
unveiled at Porsche Centre Tonbridge. An
exclusive evening for Porsche enthusiasts,
customers were able to hear about and view the
new Macan – the most dynamic compact sports
utility vehicle in the segment – in a relaxed yet
informative setting.
Porsche used this event as an opportunity to not
only enlighten customers about the Macan, but
also to talk about other models and technological
developments, including the innovative 911 Targa,
Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS models – which
were announced in March, as well as the return
to Le Mans this year in the 919 Hybrid.
Martin Hutchings of Porsche Cars Great Britain,
who was at Porsche Centre Tonbridge for the
launch event, commented: “There’s so much
going on at Porsche at the moment that we
wanted to take this event as an opportunity to
give everyone a preview of the year ahead.
Looking at new models of course, but also new
technology and new programmes that help
explain where Porsche’s cars get their spirit, as
well as how the range fits together. The Macan
is a car that we are incredibly proud of; what
began as a dream of our engineers is now a
reality. Having driven the car last month, I can
assure you that the performance and handling
are even better than you would expect. It really
feels like a sportscar.”
