Delights at Chapter One

The Festive Season is all about
socialising and enjoying great food,
and at Kent-based restaurant
Chapter One, you can do just that.
Listed as one of the top 25 places
to eat in the UK, Chapter One's
award-winning team have come up with some mouth-watering festive
menus that will see you through the entire period. From traditional roast
Norfolk turkey and Christmas pudding, to the more contemporary poached
Loch Duart salmon and red wine daube of squid on their renowned modern
European menu, there is an exceptional dining experience to suit all tastes.
From 1st to 24th December, Chapter One will be offering a superb
à la carte menu for lunch and dinner, and what’s more, it’s the same greatvalue price as any other time of the year: three courses for £27 (lunch) or
£38.50 (dinner). On a Sunday evening, guests can round off their weekend
in style and enjoy the full à la carte menu for the amazing price of £33.50.
There is also a special set menu available at lunch and dinner in either
the private dining room (for parties of 20 or more) or in the restaurant on
certain dates. The three-course Christmas set menu is just £22.95 per
person for lunch and £27.95 per person for dinner.
And for those anticipated special days out of any year, chef patron,
Andrew McLeish and his team have once again created a handful of stunning
menus for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's
Day, just for you.

For one week only, Nucleus Arts in Chatham is staging what promises to
be their show of their year, and it goes by the name of Nude. Bringing
together eight of the most talented artists
in the South East, this show is sponsored
by, and will include the work of awardwinning artist Nick Evans; sculpture and
paintings by Kent-born artist Michael Fraser;
Victoriana paintings by Marissa Mardon
(winner of Art in the Dockyard 2013);
paintings by London interior designer and
painter, Anne Taylor; new work by portrait
and landscape artists Peter Reeds, Sarah
Langstone and Bruce Rowland; and young
talent, Justin Harris.
