MALTHOUSE THEATRE!

Audiences will be awed by the sparkle and spectacle of Goldilocks and the Three Bears in a brandnew production filled with laughter, music, daring skills and fairy-tale fun. Produced by the award-winning creative team Gardner Hodges Entertainment, and building on their record-breaking productions of the past five years, Goldilocks is set to raise the tent poles even higher!
A magical bear-y tale
This well-loved tale is transported to the big top as Goldilocks and her family run a circus show. With an evil ringmaster set on driving them out of business, Goldilocks must do what she can to keep the circus alive. As she embarks on her adventure through the enchanted forest, she discovers unexpected lessons and encounters of the furry kind when she stumbles on the home of the lovable bear family.
Bear-y nice to meet you
No Malthouse panto is complete without a talented and captivating cast. Leading the company is star of television, film and stage, Emrhys Cooper, who is well known for his role as cult leader Rowan Cunliffe in Coronation Street. Emrhys will channel Rowan’ s evil ways and dastardly deeds as the villainous Evil Ringmaster. Joining Emrhys is the incomparable Joseph Gardner Hodges, returning for his sixth year as the fabulous Ringmaster Fanny. His trademark comic delivery and warmth promises to dazzle and delight.
Adding some West End sparkle is Ruby Grace as Goldilocks and Ronnie Burden, fresh from the UK tour of Friends the Musical, as the un-bear-ably funny Silly Billy. Natasha Hoeberigs( The Rocky Horror Show) will play Mummy Bear, while Maxwell Speller makes his professional debut as Daddy Bear. The role of Baby Bear will be shared by Joshua Gale, Daisy Carss, Jayden Zulu and Toby Lapthorn.
The sensational skating duo One Abyssinia will perform breathtaking routines, and an ensemble of 50 of Kent’ s most talented young performers complete the spectacular lineup.
Ring the changes
This year, the panto is staged in the round for the very first time- bringing the audience closer to the action as the thrilling performance unfolds before their eyes. Behind the scenes, the team responsible for the last five Malthouse pantomimes are creating this circus extravaganza: director and choreographer Jay Gardner Hodges, costume designer Paul Shriek( winner of a UK Pantomime Award), lighting designer Jack Hathaway and sound designer Phil Wilson.
