DANCE, CLASSICS AND COMEDY AT THE
EM FORSTER THEATRE!
TThe EM Forster Theatre is an arts venue in the heart of Tonbridge and sits within the beautiful grounds of Tonbridge School. As well as being a theatre for the school, a variety of shows are on offer to the public including theatre, comedy, music and family shows.
Regularly showing some of the best productions from London’ s West End, in association with National Theatre Live, in June you can see Lesley Manville and Aiden Turner in the stage adaptation of the classic novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses. This is a thrilling game of love, lies and social warfare set amongst the glittering salons of the super rich.
Ballet Central return this year with their graduating cohort performing a mixed bill of classical ballet and contemporary dance. Showcasing the excellence of Central School of Ballet’ s next generation of dancers, experience the magic of live dance here on stage.
In September, see Oscar Wilde’ s classic The Importance of Being Earnest with a 1920’ s twist. This reimagined musical adaptation is complete with a live jazz soundtrack, physical comedy and Art Deco design.
Monthly comedy nights in the studio theatre also continue, welcoming some of the best comedians on the circuit. Super- Comedy Nights see bigger names join the main stage and throughout autumn, Ria Lina, Jo Caulfield, Alistair Barrie, Rich Wilson, Dave Chawner and Ross Smith are all set to grace the stage; these nights are popular and sell out quickly so be sure to get your tickets soon.
