FLOW & FEAST TO BRING IMMERSIVE WELLNESS EXPERIENCE TO KENT
An immersive holistic sound experience is coming to Kent this 20 June with the launch of Flow & Feast, a one-day event at Red House Venue designed to nourish the body, mind and spirit.
Bringing together some of the most inspiring voices in the wellness and music space, the event will be headlined by renowned music producer Mose Musica, whose soulful, heart-opening soundscapes have captivated audiences worldwide.
Moving away from large-scale arenas, guests will be guided through a carefully curated programme of experiences including live music from Murray
Kyle, a cacao ceremony hosted by internationally acclaimed Sacred Earth, a Kentish feast, sound healing, guided meditation and breath work.
“ Set in the convivial surroundings of Red House Venue, overlooking the Kent Downs, Flow & Feast offers an escape from everyday life, inviting attendees to unwind, flow, and immerse themselves in a supportive and uplifting environment,” said event founder, Zoe Barnett.“ Whether you’ re new to holistic wellbeing or deeply rooted in your practice, Flow & Feast welcomes all who are ready to recharge, realign and be inspired.”
WHITEHEAD MONCKTON RAISE £ 14,322 FOR ALZHEIMER’ S RESEARCH UK
Leading Kent-based law firm, Whitehead Monckton, has raised £ 14,322 for its charity partner, Alzheimer’ s Research UK, through a series of fundraising activities and events including inflatable obstacle courses, quiz nights, Christmas jumper days and bake-off competitions.
Alzheimer’ s Research UK is the country’ s leading dementia research charity, working to revolutionise the way dementia is diagnosed, treated and prevented in the search for a cure.
Whitehead Monckton’ s staff say the partnership goes beyond fundraising, reflecting a wider commitment across the organisation. Many of the firm’ s staff and clients have personal experiences of watching loved ones face the devastating effects of Alzheimer’ s disease, with some also training as Dementia Friends Ambassadors.
“ Dementia touches so many lives, including those within our own organisation,” said Chris Longden, managing director at Whitehead Monckton.“ Choosing Alzheimer’ s Research UK as our Charity of the Year reflects our commitment to standing alongside the families and communities affected by this condition. We firmly believe in the power of research and innovation, and we are proud to support the vital work that is paving the way towards earlier diagnosis, better treatments, and ultimately a cure.”
BLUEWATER APPOINTS ITS FIRST CHIEF PLAY OFFICER
Bluewater Shopping Centre has appointed ten-year-old Samir Osmani as its first chief play officer. The unique role has been created to celebrate the official opening of the centre’ s transformed Wintergarden play area.
Samir was selected from more than 550 entrants, impressing the judging panel with his creativity, imagination and standout naming suggestion for the park’ s centrepiece:‘ The Tangled Tower Toadstall’.
Since being appointed, Samir has been busy at the park’ s opening weekend, with his first official duties including swing testing to ensure maximum height and levels of fun, monitoring giggle output and leading peace negotiations at the top of the slide.
“ We’ re thrilled to crown Samir as our first ever chief play officer and he’ s already thrown himself into the role with enthusiasm,” said James Waugh, centre director.“ The new space we’ ve created allows children to be active and themselves, while parents can relax and enjoy everything else Bluewater has to offer. It’ s another step in making the centre a true family destination- not just for shopping, but for food, fun and time together.”
