What was the original vision behind Abbey New Homes? The original vision behind Abbey New Homes was to build a family-run business founded on trust, longterm values and pride in craftsmanship, while creating quality homes at reasonable prices. From the outset, the aim was to combine thoughtful design, reliable construction and strong customer care, ensuring buyers received lasting value as well as a place to call home. That balance of family values, quality and affordability remains at the heart of the company today.
What inspired you to focus your development of homes across South East England? The South East has always been one of the most dynamic and desirable regions in the UK, with strong transport links, thriving towns, coastline, countryside and consistent demand for quality housing. We understand the needs of communities across the Home Counties and surrounding counties. Our regional knowledge has enabled us to build in locations where people genuinely want to live, work and raise families.
Who is the primary audience for buying your homes? We cater to a broad range of buyers rather than a single demographic. Our developments include town-centre apartments suited to firsttime buyers and young professionals, alongside larger family homes in towns and villages. We also appeal to downsizers and investors, making our customer base diverse and far reaching.
How many projects have you completed across Kent? We currently have four live sites in Lenham, Sittingbourne, Walmer and Whitfield. Historically, we have also delivered numerous schemes across the county as part of our wider South East portfolio.
