W oodchurch Wine Estate was founded in 2009 by Graham and Donna Barbour, who planted 10,000 vines on a perfect southfacing Kentish slope and built it into a multiaward-winning destination. Now four friends, Kelly and John Smith alongside Donna and Darren Worsley, are its proud new guardians, all passionate about honouring that legacy while writing the next chapter.

It is commonly recognised that southern England now provides the perfect growing conditions for grapes to produce outstanding sparkling wine. This is being demonstrated by an increasing number of international awards for wines from Kent and the southern counties. At Woodchurch Wine Estate these conditions combine with the perfect location and the right management to enable us to produce wine of the highest quality.

Committed to community and discovery, the team is expanding the estate’ s food offering, launching a summer events calendar, growing the Wine Club, and innovating with exciting new products- all while making English wine more accessible than ever.

At Woodchurch Wine Estate, our vision is to create the world’ s finest sparkling wines. Every step of the vine growing and winemaking process is approached with a meticulous attention to detail. Throughout the year, the vines are managed by hand and treated with great care which in turn means the fruit harvested is of the highest quality. Our wine is made in a state-of-the-art winery by one of the UK’ s leading winemakers whose philosophy of minimal intervention and diligent approach to winemaking result in superb wines.
