BUBBLES AND BIDS RAISES £ 4,000 FOR ASPENS
Aspens, a charity supporting people on the autism spectrum and those living with learning disabilities across the South East, has hosted a successful Bubbles and Bids fundraising event.
Supported by a variety of local businesses, the event was attended by the community, supporters, family members, the Mayor of Tunbridge Wells, Cllr David Osbourne, and Mayoress Linda Seely, who partook in an auction with signed football shirts, wine-tasting experiences and afternoon tea up for grabs.
Thanks to the generosity of attendees, a total of £ 4,000 was raised, enabling the charity to purchase
a brand-new sensory swing for its Acorns Day Opportunities centre in Pembury. This specialist equipment will offer the people Aspens supports a therapeutic resource that enhances wellbeing and sensory regulation.
“ We are incredibly grateful for the warmth and generosity shown at Bubbles and Bids,” said CEO Robert Shanahan.“ Thanks to our wonderful supporters, we can now purchase a sensory swing that will make a real difference to the people we support. It was a fantastic evening that truly reflected the spirit of our community.”
