7 MINI WEDDING DRESSES

Long dresses aren’ t a thing of the past, but more and more brides are choosing to go for shorter gowns for their big day- either as the main event, or as a‘ party dress’ for the evening.
“ We are seeing recently that mini wedding dresses have had a surge in popularity as modern brides redefine what a wedding looks like to them. Many couples are stepping away from tradition, so a full-length gown is being switched out for something more fun, fashion-forward and totally true to them. A mini dress feels effortless yet stylish- perfect for dancing the night away, jumping in a cab through the city, or changing into for the evening party. They’ re also sustainable as you get to wear them again and, needless to say, more affordable. Brides today want versatility, comfort and personality in their bridal look, and the mini dress delivers all three- playful, modern and made for celebrating love on your own terms.”- Cara Whyte, owner, Story of My Dress

8 COLOURFUL JEWELS
Traditionally, diamonds are the jewels used in wedding jewellery, but Gen Z are changing that, opting for brighter, bolder stones. Pinterest’ s 2025 wedding report revealed that more couples than ever are choosing sapphires, rubies, emeralds and other jewels over the traditional diamond.
“ Gen Z is bringing vintage ring silhouettes and coloured stones back to the fore. As this generation defines a new era of weddings, they are embracing maximalism with stacks of mixed-metal rings, non-traditional shapes and pops of colour. This year, couples will opt for more precious and unique stones that align with their personal aesthetic, with searches for pink, chocolate-brown and champagne diamonds on the rise.”- Pinterest
