Balboa Four-Seater Sofa in Saddle Tan Leather, £ 1,499, DFS maintaining an open feel and providing ample hidden storage to keep the aesthetics clean and uncluttered. The pantry is a feature we are particularly proud of. A bathtub with a view was on our wishlist from the start, offering a spot to relax while taking in the picturesque vistas. We also aimed to incorporate a walk-in wardrobe, ensuring functionality and style worked hand in hand. These features were essential in creating a space that is both luxurious and practical.
Who did you welcome on board to help complete the project and why? We knew that realising our vision required a brilliant team. We selected Offset Architects to design the final project and they were instrumental in translating our vision into a workable reality. They understood our desire for a contemporary home that maximised the views and were fantastic partners throughout the process. For the key architectural features, we worked with some exceptional suppliers. Frameless Glass Curtains( FGC) installed the large glass wall that is so central to the design. Their product is fabulous, and their installation team was incredibly professional from start to finish. Beyond that, we were fortunate to work with several excellent tradespeople who helped bring all the details together.

What do you love most about your home today? That is a wonderful question, as there are so many parts of the house we love. The quietness of the location is something we treasure every day. We love watching the morning light stream through the bedroom and kitchen windows and seeing the views across the valley change with the weather and the seasons is just magical. If we had to pick one thing, it’ s the feeling of the open-plan living area. The kitchen in particular is a joy; we find ourselves spending so much more time cooking and enjoying the process, which was exactly what we hoped to achieve. It’ s a home that feels both peaceful and perfect for sharing with others.
What’ s next on your house to-do list? Any other exciting projects coming up? The next major project is to turn our attention to the outside. Our immediate plan is to tackle the driveway and then begin landscaping the garden. The first step will be to remove the old greenhouse to create a blank canvas. We see it as a slow process that will evolve over time, a real labour of love. It won’ t all happen in one season, but we’ re excited to get started and create an outdoor space that does justice to the house and the incredible view.
