Emma, please tell us about your artistic journey so far. I’ ve painted since childhood, but for many years my creativity moved into the digital world. Working in the tech industry, I exercised that creative muscle through branding, design and marketing, but it was a different kind of creativity; structured and strategic rather than intuitive. Then in 2021, after experiencing a miscarriage, something shifted in me. I felt an overwhelming pull to pick up a paintbrush again. What began as a personal search for healing quickly became a powerful rediscovery of joy, expression and colour.
As I painted, I realised that art doesn’ t just fill a wall, it changes the atmosphere of a space. Many homes use generic prints that do not reflect the emotional landscape of the people living in them. My work grew from that understanding. I began creating pieces that channel specific energy to uplift, calm or shift the feeling of a room, paired with my deep love for the natural world and the expressive power of animals. Today, my art is rooted in helping people reconnect with joy, presence and the quiet beauty of everyday life.
Tell us more about your creative process, from initial concept to finished artwork. My creative process is almost entirely intuitive. I often describe it as‘ listening’ more than painting. I don’ t plan compositions or sketch ideas. Instead, an image or a sensation arrives, clear and vivid. With my animal portraits, it’ s as though they appear in my mind first- the posture, the expression, the energy … and my hand simply follows. These pieces feel channelled; they come through me, not from me.
My healing art abstracts work the same way, but the entry point is colour. A colour combination or energetic sensation appears in my awareness and that becomes the starting note. From there, the painting leads me. The next colour drops in, the movement feels inevitable and the piece builds itself through guidance rather than intention.
The process is calm and directed; almost meditative. The next instruction always comes when it’ s time- I’ ve learned to trust that guidance completely.
Both collections honour the same principle- art as an expression of energy, intuition and emotional truth. I’ m also developing a new body of work inspired by clouds- their presence, their softness and the way they remind us to pause. We get so lost in the day to day that we forget to look up and this new collection brings that moment back into focus. Each piece captures the beauty that’ s always above us, translating that uplifting energy into something you can feel in a room.
Can you share more about your creative workshops? What can one expect to take away from the experience? My workshops are an invitation back into intuitive creativity- the kind most of us had as children before we learned to overthink. They are grounded in presence, permission and play. Participants are encouraged to let go of the idea of‘ painting something’ and instead connect with the feeling of the moment. I often use colour oracle cards to help people begin, especially if they’ re unsure where to start. A single colour can offer inspiration, insight or a sense of direction.
By teaching abstract, intuitive methods, I help people reconnect with their inner guidance system- the part of them that already knows what they need. People leave with more than a painting; they leave with a remembered sense of intuition, confidence and creative freedom.
What’ s next for you in 2026? 2026 is the year I scale the movement I’ ve started. My vision is to bring healing, intuitive art into environments that shape how we feel every day- homes, yes, but also wellness spaces, hotels, spas, clinics and workplaces. I’ m developing a new collection of large-scale energetic pieces designed specifically to shift the atmosphere of bigger spaces, and I’ ll also be expanding my workshops into immersive experiences, integrating sound, colour and breathwork practices.
This is more than art for walls- it’ s art for wellbeing, for reconnection and for future spaces that support emotional and energetic health. My goal is to establish intuitive, energy-led art as a new category within the wellbeing and interiors world. 2026 is about expansion, collaboration and bringing this new era of art and healing into the mainstream.
