BELLWAY BACKS LOCAL TEEN’ S AIR AMBULANCE FUNDRAISER
A Gillingham teenager dedicated to raising money for the air ambulance cause has had a fundraising boost from local homebuilder, Bellway.
Chloe-Anne Hackett, 15, raises money for the Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance and the National Children’ s Air Ambulance by selling items such as bookmarks, jewellery, pens and hair accessories at craft markets and on her website.
Since the age of seven, when she suffered an asthma attack during the severe‘ Beast from the East’ in February 2018, Chloe-Anne has become fascinated by the emergency services. After learning that the air ambulance services depend almost entirely on donations in order to operate, she dedicated herself to supporting their life-saving efforts.
Bellway, who are building homes across Kent, heard about her efforts and dedicated to boost her fundraising total with a generous £ 1,000 donation.
This year, Chloe-Anne hopes to raise £ 5,100 to split between the two charities and the Bellway donation has already brought her latest fundraising figure to around £ 3,000.
