DOMAINE EVREMOND’ S NEW CULINARY SERIES: FLAVOURS OF KENT
®
In partnership with esteemed Kent chef Olivia Wacher, Flavours of Kent will provide incredible gastronomic journeys through the seasonal produce shaped by Kent’ s unique microclimate.
Hosted at Domaine Evremond’ s state-of-the-art winery, these immersive three-course tasting adventures will highlight the three key forces that shape Kent’ s produce and wine: sun, sea and earth- with each dish paying tribute to one of these elemental forces and revealing a different expression of Domaine Evremond’ s inaugural release- Classic Cuvée Edition I.
The first of four instalments, Chapter I: Autumn will take place on Sunday 19 October and Sunday 9 November, showcasing quality produce such as Whitstable oysters, North Downs’ goat’ s cheese and estate-grown apples. With only 16 seats available, these lunches will be an intimate celebration of the best that Kent has to offer. Be sure to keep up to date as the winter, spring and summer menus are set to be announced quarterly.
Tickets to Chapter I: Autumn are now available via domaineevremond. com

ALEX PERSEVAL IK SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER alex @ sidewaysmedia. co. uk
Since I joined Sideways Media in 2012, it’ s been an amazing journey watching not only insideKENT grow as a publication, but also seeing the people of Kent show such passion to support local businesses and produce, more so now than ever before.
Food is my love language and we are spoilt for choice when it comes to incredible restaurants and producers across the Garden of England. A seasonal autumn menu from a Kentish gastro pub in the countryside or a traditional Sunday roast will be on my list of must-haves this month.
One of my favourite places to visit is Harty on the Isle of Sheppey, driving down towards exceptional wedding venue The
Ferry House is my favourite part of each month when I’ m delivering the latest edition of insideKENT to them.
I also have a real passion for sport on a local level, whether it’ s cheering on my local football team Ashford United, watching the Kent County Cricket team in Canterbury, or taking in the superb atmosphere at Planet Ice in Gillingham to support the Invicta Dynamos ice hockey team.

TOP RESTAURANT Many years ago, a strong first impression was made on me and I’ ve never looked back, so I highly recommend Shampan at The Spinning Wheel, just outside of Westerham- not only for the high quality food but for the incredible service and overall dining experience. As an avid curry lover, I always return at any opportunity I get. |
TOP COFFEE SPOT There’ s no shortage of both fantastic locally produced coffee in Kent, and spots to enjoy a beautifully brewed caffeinated beverage, too. A personal favourite of mine is The Old Post Office Coffee Shop in the small village of Woodchurch, where they also have a wonderful lunch selection. |
TOP DESTINATION I regularly tell my friends and family to visit Rochester as the town’ s high street is thriving with independent businesses and top eateries. Nearby are also some heritage tourism spots such as The Historic Dockyard Chatham, Fort Amherst and the Royal Engineers Museum. |
