MACKNADE NAMED THE SECOND BEST FARM SHOP IN THE UK
Macknade has proudly announced its ranking as the second best farm shop in the UK, following a nationwide analysis conducted by recipe box delivery service, HelloFresh.
The study evaluated farm shops across the country on multiple criteria including produce quality, range, pricing, social media presence and customer experience. Macknade’ s emphasis on provenance, staff expertise and an exceptional range of produce- all in support of independent producers- earned it this notable position and continues to attract customers from across the UK.
Established in 1847, Macknade began as a well respected Kentish farm and has since grown into a renowned foodie destination. It now offers everything from seasonal fruit and vegetables to a whole carcass butchery, bakery, café, wine store and gourmet delicatessen featuring over 100 different cheeses.

GREAT TASTE AWARDS 2025 CROWN THEIR FOOD AND DRINK FAVOURITES
The Guild of Fine Food has revealed the results of Great Taste 2025, which saw a record-breaking 14,310 products entered from 110 countries.
The South East submitted 1,703 products, with 636 receiving awards- including Bears Ice Cream( 2- and 1-star), Chegworth Valley( multiple stars) and Gilda Bakery( 2-stars), along with a host of other celebrated Kentbased food and drink producers.
Great Taste is recognised as the most influential food and drink accreditation scheme in the world, not only because it was established over 30 years ago, but also for its rigorous, multi-layered review process. Over 500 industry experts judged the products over 110 days considering flavour first, followed by appearance, aroma, texture and mouthfeel before awarding the famous black and gold seals of approval.
The products awarded a coveted 3-star rating were entered into a further round of judging to establish nominations for the Golden Fork trophies- considered amongst the best in the world. The Golden Forks will be announced at Battersea Arts Centre on 9 September where the Supreme Champion product for this year will also be revealed.
