ENJOYING FAMILY FUN ON THE FARM AT …
BIDDENDEN TRACTORFEST
Held in the fields of Holden Farm, Biddenden Tractorfest is a cherished annual spectacular much-loved by the whole family. Returning for its 11th year on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August, and run entirely by volunteers, with the support of registered charity the Kent County Agricultural Society, the festival boasts a jam-packed weekend of entertainment including displays of over 300 tractors alongside plenty of stalls, vehicles, demonstrations, children’ s entertainment, animals and arena displays.
Not forgetting a wide selection of delicious food and drink, atmospheric live music and so much more to see and do, Biddenden Tractorfest is a true celebration of all the Kentish countryside has to offer.
To find out more information and buy tickets, head to tractorfest. co. uk; tickets are expected to sell-out so be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

NATALIE TYE iK DESIGNER natalie @ sidewaysmedia. co. uk
I joined iK this time last year and the team has made me feel so welcome. I really enjoy putting together the adverts and the layouts for the magazine. Having worked as a designer in studios for 20 years, editorial design has always been my favourite- I love the puzzle of trying to get all the content to fit onto a page. I now also have loads of great recommendations of places to go from the articles! I enjoy baking cakes and trying to recreate the masterpieces my children request for their birthdays, most recently a three tier Harry Potter cake; I also love sewing and upcycling my clothes- any chance to do something crafty makes me happy.
When I’ m not designing pages for iK, I am usually running around after my three children. My son and daughter are both keen footballers, so you can quite often find us at Ramsgate Football Club. We also enjoy going for walks, trips to the local park or enjoying a day at the beach looking for crabs. Living on the Thanet coast gives us the opportunity to visit many of the great local beaches, plus there’ s always a chance of some delicious ice cream!

TOP OUTDOORS For outdoor adventures, it has to be Betteshanger Country Park. The outdoor park area is so impressive for the kids and you also have the option of a woodland walk or cycle before treating yourself to a great coffee from The Lamp Room restaurant.
TOP FAMILY CRAFTS Created to Treasure Pottery & Castings in Ramsgate is a fun ceramic painting activity for the kids. We love this little gem of a shop; fab for all ages and they have a monthly ladies night, too.
TOP DINING When my husband and I get the chance to go out for dinner, it has to be the Italian restaurant Posillipo in Broadstairs for its stunning views over broadstairs and delicious food.
