SOUTH EAST OPEN STUDIOS
Discover the work by painters, printmakers, sculptors, ceramicists, glass artists, jewellers and more by visiting the South East Open Studios( SEOS) event taking place from 6- 22 June. Hundreds of artists and makers will open their studio doors and hold collaborative shows to present their work to visitors throughout parts of Kent and Sussex.
Whether you decide to explore art on your doorstep or venture a bit further afield, you will experience the variety and quality of work created across the county. It’ s a fantastic opportunity to meet local makers and artists, follow their work and exhibitions on the SEOS website all year round, and enjoy being part of your local artistic community!
“ While visiting artists and chatting about their experience of SEOS, we were encouraged to take part ourselves,” explains SEOS artist Ray Taylor, who was inspired by visiting other artists’ studios.“ The event is now a great incentive for us to produce new work and to get the house and garden in order! We’ ve gained valuable feedback from chats with visitors and it’ s great to see so many coming back year after year.”

Find out what members of your communities are up to. You never know, it might inspire you to have a go yourself and start a new hobby or discover a hidden passion. Many of our artists offer taster workshops and tuition in their studios, some even teach online. Start your journey of discovery this June!
