MAJOR INVESTMENT TRANSFORMS THE SPA HOTEL INTO A PREMIER WELLNESS DESTINATION
The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells unveiled a state-of-the-art spa and wellness suite on 1 May, following a significant £ 750,0000 investment to enhance its facilities.
Recognising a gap in the local market for a truly luxurious spa experience, the hotel undertook a major refurbishment supported by a commercial loan from British fintech, Allica Bank, who commented:“ We’ re committed to helping established businesses access the funding they need to grow. Scragg Hotels( which owns The Spa Hotel) has a clear ambition to create something truly special for the local area and it was fantastic to support them in bringing that vision to life.”
The new expanded spa features a hydro-pool, cold plunge, hot spa drench bucket, relaxation room and ice fountain. The new facilities are available to local residents through a Premier Spa Health membership, to hotel guests staying in‘ Feature’ and‘ Indulgent’ rooms, and as an upgrade option for all visitors.

UCA STUDENTS CREATE INNOVATIVE MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES FOR NHS
To coincide with last month’ s Mental Health Week, students from the University for the Creative Arts created visual resources in collaboration with Kent and Medway Children and Young People’ s Mental Health Services( CYPMHS) to engage with young people accessing its mental health services and bring real mental health stories to life.
Students developed engaging short films and designed booklets to make mental health support relatable and accessible for children and young people across Kent and Medway.
The project not only allowed students to use their creative skills to make an impact, it also helped to create tools that will be used to better support young people’ s mental health journeys.
Julia Hart, a student working on the project, said:“ Our team tried to think about the project from a slightly older perspective; perhaps a parent looking for help for their child. We explored ways to illustrate the journey that someone might take while feeling the pressures of life.”
