2025 MARKS 100 YEARS OF THE SEVENOAKS ALLOTMENT HOLDERS ASSOCIATION
The Sevenoaks Allotment Holders Association( SAHA) is celebrating its 100th birthday after providing spacious allotments in Quakers Hall Lane for an entire decade. A chance to practice therapeutic gardening and grow seasonal fruit and vegetables year-round, Sevenoaks’ allotments are a vital provision for the local community. Managed by the town council, local gardeners will find that advice and help is never far away, and supplies are available from the allotment’ s trading centre every Sunday thanks to volunteers from the SAHA.
Whether a novice or experienced gardener, Sevenoaks’ allotments are a great way to get involved in the local community, with monthly‘ Brew & Bacon Butty’ mornings throughout the main growing season and an annual open day for all. For those interested in having their own space to grow fresh produce and bask in the natural environment, contact Ruth King on the following email: allotments @ sevenoakstown. gov. uk.

BELLWAY RECEIVES NINTH CONSECUTIVE HBF 5-STAR HOME BUILDER AWARD
Staff at Bellway’ s developments are celebrating after the company was awarded the highest 5-star accolade from the Home Builders Federation for the ninth consecutive year.
The HBF’ s star ratings are based on a customer satisfaction survey conducted after customers move into their homes, covering multiple aspects of the home-buying process. Bellway’ s commitment to customer satisfaction has resulted in 90 % of their customers recommending the company.
Bellway is currently building new homes across Kent, including developments in Ebbsfleet, Greenhithe, Northfleet, Dartford and more.
“ Our teams across Kent work exceptionally hard to create homes our customers can be proud of and to make the homebuying journey run smoothly,” said sales director, Mark Harrop.“ This award recognises that our customers feel their efforts have been successful. We are grateful to every homebuyer who took the time to give their feedback, culminating in this incredible endorsement”.
Each session will include a guided walk, followed by a tutored workshop in the Learning Space. Following the success of Sketch into Spring, led by local artist and author Cas Holmes and Becca Spain, where participants foraged for items to create artwork with inspiration drawn from the park, summer’ s Nature Journaling Walk & Workshop will encourage learners to create their own unique nature journals, followed by lessons on sustainable harvesting and folklore in the Harvest & Hues of Autumn workshop.
Angela Woodhouse, director of strategy, insight and governance, said:“ It is wonderful to see how the park changes with the seasons and these events will be an excellent opportunity for residents and visitors to come and appreciate our park while learning new skills and developing their creative flair.” www. insidekent. co. uk • 193
