From derelict harbour arm to arguably one of the best Kentish coast food and entertainment destinations, Folkestone Harbour will be celebrating its 10th anniversary with a host of events spanning art, culture, sport and of course food. I’ m Ash, a Piscean through and through – a bit emotional at times, but as I’ ve been told,‘ you’ ve gotta get it out!’ I live on the coast in good ol’ Folkey, so I’ m always up for a cold water dip. I’ m also a fan of a sauna, do yoga a lot and LOVE the free-spirited community around me.

As a visual creative, I love storytelling through both writing and my camera. I’ ve had the pleasure of working with and capturing amazing clients across Kent. I’ m a sucker for sunshine, alfresco eating and cocktails, and on a free day look forward to a good look round the charity shops for some antique gems.

I’ m an adrenaline junkie at heart – I’ ve got a board for just about everything. In warmer weather, you’ ll find me wakeboarding, or in the Alps snowboarding – another place I hold dear and a little further from Kent. I love a good walk or run( when energetic enough), usually ending at a pub, bar, or coffee with friends depending on what’ s acceptable.

I’ m extremely grateful for friends, work and being part of the Sideways team since 2019- time has flown! I adore writing the interior trends piece for the magazine and working with some incredible clients.

Kent has everything – adventure, incredible food, activities, great weather( sometimes) and it’ s close to France – what’ s not to love?
