Taking place on selected Friday afternoons for the museum’ s Transported by Culture music programme, audiences are welcomed to experience the inspiring stories of London and its transport history, while enjoying a showstopping musical performance from some of the capital’ s most talented young classical and jazz musicians. Performances will alternate between 10 young soloists / ensembles who are still students, each with an individual approach to classical and jazz music production.

Famous for its starring role as the‘ Green Dragon’ in the 1970 family favourite feature film The Railway Children and the first time it has visited the Tunbridge Wells’ Spa Valley Railway, don’ t miss the fantastic opportunity to travel behind two wonderful Victorian locomotives( Ironclad 52044 and Caledonian Railway 828) between Tunbridge Wells West and Eridge stations this April. Following the success of their 2024 production, Unforgettable- Gone Too Soon, the Local Amateur Musical PlayerS( LAMPS) are back this April with something very different. The Drowsy Chaperone, winner of five Tony Awards, is a loving send-up of the jazz-age musical featuring showstopping song and dance numbers. Listening to The Drowsy Chaperone, a parody of a 1920’ s musical comedy, the main character comments on the show, the actors and the story as his apartment is transformed into a Broadway set.
