SHEPHERD NEAME LAUNCHES 2025 SPRING PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
Britain ’ s oldest brewer , Shepherd Neame , has now launched its Spring Photography Competition 2025 , with fantastic prizes up for grabs . To celebrate a new year , the independent family brewer and pub company is encouraging people to get outdoors and capture the changing seasons in all their glory – whether that be natural landscapes , springtime surprises or wildlife wonders . One winner will receive the top prize of a £ 150 Shepherd Neame gift card and there will also be four runners up , each receiving a £ 25 gift card .
Shepherd Neame has been running its popular photography contest since 2022 , with last year ’ s winner , Mike Hook from Maidstone , scooping first prize for his image of a fieldfare feeding off fallen apples at East Malling Research Centre . insideSTORY - FOOD & DRINK NEWS
To enter , simply capture the perfect moment and send it to Shepherd Neame at comms @ shepherdneame . co . uk with a couple of lines explaining where the photo was taken and any other background information . Entries need to have been taken in Shepherd Neame ’ s heartland and emailed in by 17 March . The winning images will be displayed at Shepherd Neame ’ s brewery in Court Street , Faversham throughout April .

MARCO PIERRE WHITE ’ S NEW MENU HELPS BANISH WINTER BLUES
Mr White ’ s English Chophouse , Marco Pierre White ’ s Dover-based restaurant , has launched a brand-new winter menu that ’ s packed with dishes perfect to enjoy during the remaining winter months . The new menu includes a range of seasonal specials that sit alongside the venue ’ s main à la carte dishes that have made the restaurant such a popular place to enjoy a meal with the town ’ s foodies .
From the seasonal special starters , guests can choose from potted ham en gelée with parsley , baked Camembert , cream of chicken soup or crispy devilled whitebait . Meanwhile , mains include roast cod with lentils and pancetta , Simpson ’ s cottage pie , Wheeler ’ s of St James ’ s fishcake and a pea and shallot ravioli .
“ As one of very few restaurants that constantly brings out seasonal menus , Mr White ’ s English Chophouse provides guests looking to eat out with dishes that are in season and uses ingredients that are appropriate to the time of year ,” said Shubhankar Sengupta , food and beverage manager . “ Whatever the occasion , I ’ m sure guests will take great pleasure dining on dishes created by the great Marco Pierre White .”
