If your wedding plans look ahead to 2026 , there ’ s a lot to get excited about at The Ferry House . The muchanticipated addition of Spring Barn – their second wedding barn – is at the heart of a venue transformation that marks a new era of quality .
Opening in April 2026 , Spring Barn will provide a third beautiful ceremony space . Choose from the rustic elegance of the original Hop Barn , the light-filled grandeur of the new Spring Barn with its distinct oak ‘ hammerbeam ’ frame , or an outdoor ceremony beneath the oak gazebo overlooking the estuary . With capacities from an intimate gathering to a larger ceremony for 260 guests , there ’ s room for your day to be exactly how you want it .
Throughout The Ferry House , you ’ ll find spaces that feel both intimate and expansive , and from April 2026 you can have exclusive use of them all . Raise a toast from waterside terraces or the 16th-century private pub , complete with heritage features and warming fires . With two readying rooms designed for calm preparation and countless beautiful photo opportunities , every corner brings something unique to your wedding . Better still , unlike many exclusive-hire venues , you can return to celebrate life ’ s special moments such as christenings and anniversaries , or simply enjoy pop-up dining and tasting events .
The food is something you ’ ll certainly want to experience again . Two AA Rosette menus for your wedding are created by award-winning chefs using quality produce from The Ferry House kitchen garden , family farm , local estate and wider Kent . New options for 2026 include starter sharing platters , a refreshing sorbet course , indulgent dessert sharers and elevated evening menus including fajitas and woodfired pizza . With a dedicated taster evening , you can choose your ideal menu and wines while enjoying the anticipation of your wedding day to come .
What you can be assured of is a relaxed and memorable wedding , where you and your guests feel immediately at home . Every detail is designed to take the stress out of planning , allowing you to focus on what truly matters : celebrating your love with those closest to you .
With accommodation for up to 75 guests in 11 luxurious guest rooms and five country cottages , it becomes easy to do just that .
