PRESTIGIOUS SEVENOAKS SCHOOL APPOINTS SODEXO AS NEW FOOD SERVICES PARTNER
Sevenoaks , one of the UK ’ s oldest schools , has appointed Independents by Sodexo to deliver the catering services at the coeducational day and boarding school . With 76 nationalities represented in the student population , Sodexo ’ s menus will include a wide range of tasty and nutritious international dishes , focusing on providing the school ’ s international students with a feel of home through street food pop ups , international dishes and themed nights .
With a commitment to sustainability , Sodexo will also implement its food waste management programme , WasteWatch , and the new menus will include low-carbon dishes and recipes that have been produced using ‘ wonky ’ fruit and vegetables .

Jane Knight , founder of the Bromleybased Successful Mums Career Academy , has been awarded the 2024 Mayor of London Inspirational Professional in Adult Education Award . Over the past decade , Jane - a mum of two - has boosted the confidence of over 10,000 women from Kent and London , empowering them to return to work or start their own business after having children .
The awards ceremony , held last month at City Hall ( London ’ s Living Room ) and live-streamed , was a powerful evening of tributes reflecting Jane ’ s dedication and impact amongst a record 329 nominations at the prestigious awards .
“ Winning this award is an incredible honour , especially as we celebrate 10 years of the Successful Mums Career Academy ,” said Jane . “ What began as a goal to help 100 mums has become a movement , with over 10,000 parents supported back into work . Becoming a parent should enhance your career , not halt it , and I ’ m so proud of the positive impact we ’ re making on so many women returners and their families .”

ROCKSALT RESTAURANT IN FOLKESTONE HOSTS AN EXCLUSIVE EVENT WITH FOOTBALLING LEGEND GEOFF HURST
Held in support of Cure Leukaemia and sponsored by AW Construction Services , the special event brought together sports enthusiasts , philanthropists and community members for an unforgettable day of stories and fundraising . During the event , Sir Geoff shared personal anecdotes from his football career , giving guests an intimate look at the defining moments of his life both on and off the pitch . With his signature wit and humility , he recounted the triumphs and challenges that shaped his journey , including his historic hat-trick in England ’ s 1966 World Cup victory .
Hosted by Ian Stafford of the Sporting Club , guests were also treated to a special live auction , which featured a range of rare sports memorabilia and exclusive experiences , with all funds raised going to Cure Leukaemia .

Folkestone Harbour at Rocksalt included a three-course lunch and raised an incredible £ 10,000 for the charity . Rocksalt operations director , Jack Nimmons , said : “ It was an honour to host such a special event here at the restaurant ; watching guests meet their childhood heroes and raising money for such an important cause is a privilege . I ’ d like to thank everyone who joined us , and for their generous donations to support Cure Leukaemia ’ s vital work .”
