Step into the secret substation at The Historic Dockyard Chatham . It ’ s ‘ all elves on deck ’ for Mission Christmas : Elf Academy , a brandnew festive adventure running from 24 November to 24 December 2024 .
Discover the secret that elves and substation workers have been guarding for generations . Join the fun at the magical Elf Academy , where you ’ ll learn all the tricks of the trade , from making toys to wrapping presents and even helping with the allimportant deliveries . When you graduate , you ’ ll be a real Elf Apprentice , ready to make Christmas extra special for children all around the world . Are you ready to unlock the magic of the elves and become Father Christmas ’ s newest helper ?
As a reward for graduating from Elf Academy , each family will have the chance to experience a personal visit with Father Christmas himself . Impressed by the invaluable help extended to the elves , he will bestow upon your children a special gift to treasure and take home .

• A private meet-and-greet with Father Christmas for you and your group .
• A wrapped gift from Father Christmas for each child .
• One professional photograph with Father Christmas per group , with the opportunity to purchase further photographs and a special Mission Christmas storybook at the end of the experience .
Eat , drink and shop
The Mess Deck Restaurant will be open , serving delicious festive food and steaming hot chocolates including the Gingerbread Crunch , Candy Cane Twist and Doughnut Delight - you ’ re going to be spoilt for choice ! The Dockyard Shop will be stocked with Christmas gifts including a special handmade gift range from the Master Ropemakers .
For visitors with specific needs
Mission Christmas and The Historic Dockyard Chatham wish to be fully inclusive , making every effort to ensure that they are accessible to as many visitors as possible .
They will be offering four dedicated quiet experience times that have been specially tailored for those with additional needs on Friday 6 and Tuesday 17 December 2024 . These tours operate at a reduced capacity , giving families an opportunity to enjoy Mission Christmas in a calmer environment .
These sessions will have quieter music and lower lighting , and the guide will go at a slower pace to reduce overloading the senses and create an experience which is accessible for all .
