KYN Bickley , the first of KYN ’ s care homes , opened last year here in Kent in a spacious neo-classical building with a garden in Bromley , Greater London . This was followed by KYN Hurlingham in June , opposite The Hurlingham Club in Fulham .
Respecting each resident as a unique individual , the KYN team takes the time to understand residents ’ previous professional and familial roles , as well as who they are today . The team creates a bespoke care plan and supports each resident ’ s wellbeing while offering the independence and freedom they deserve .
They say home is not a place … it ’ s a feeling . KYN cultivates this feeling through elegant and cosy spaces designed by interior designer Nina Campbell . Social areas feature inspiring artwork and warm colours , while bedrooms come complete with large ensuite wet rooms and bespoke , comfortable furnishings , which residents are invited to enhance with personal touches . Meanwhile , serene gardens are designed to improve mood , cognition and general wellbeing .
Dining is central to the wellbeing of residents at KYN , with creative menus developed by executive chef Tristan Welch and expert nutritionists ensuring residents enjoy healthy , delicious food .
From gardening to literature appreciation and current affairs clubs , as well as trips in the KYN taxi , residents are encouraged to enjoy their autonomy , embrace their interests and build friendships . They decide how they spend their days , whether that ’ s enjoying the Life Enrichment and Wellbeing programme or soaking up time in nature .
