Located in the middle of Tonbridge , Hilden Grange School is a coeducational school for children from Nursery to Year 8 . Spread over 22 acres of grounds , our school provides children with a fantastic learning foundation in which they can flourish .
Hilden ’ s ‘ Language of Learning ’ approach gives children a broad and balanced education in a supportive and stimulating environment where every child ’ s potential can be realised . We intentionally keep our class sizes small to ensure each student receives the individual attention they need to thrive . From Year 3 , children receive specialist teaching in 15 subjects , from maths to design technology ; additionally , our purpose-built science labs , an art studio and an ICT suite further enhance learning .
Hilden Grange has had a remarkable record over recent years in preparing students to achieve outstanding 11 + exam results . We have an unrivalled record of placing pupils in their first choice secondary school , including local grammar and leading independent schools . Each year our students regularly win scholarships to , and places at , schools such as Tonbridge , Sevenoaks , Sutton Valence , Walthamstow Hall and Kent College . Since 2019 , Hilden Grange students have been awarded more than 100 scholarships .
The curriculum at Hilden Grange is enhanced by a huge variety of activities including 46 extra-curricular clubs from tennis to mad science and gardening . Our pupils played over 600 sporting fixtures and our musicians achieved 77 merits and distinctions in one school year . After school , all children can benefit from these enrichment opportunities , many included in our tuition fees . We also offer wraparound care and , during school holidays , all children can attend our Holiday Club which runs from 9am to 4pm .
