In 2023 , Daniel Waters , joined by wife Karen , passionately set up a unique PYO pumpkin experience nestled in the Kent countryside , keen to provide a fun wholesome family activity that includes an interactive scarecrow hunt . After growing up on a farm , but branching out to the world of fresh produce , Daniel decided to return to his roots and bring life back into the farm . Since then , Erriot Wood has been lovingly cared for in order to grow the very best pumpkins . “ I pot the seeds in April and give the plants a good start under a glass house . Once the plants have developed their second set of leaves and there is no longer a risk of morning frost , a crew of people handplant the pumpkin plants ,” says Daniel . “ I then let nature take its course , hoeing the rows when needed to keep the weeds under control . We watch the plants grow into huge vines , just like in Jack and the Beanstalk , and once the pumpkins have ripened , we cut them from the vines , ready for picking !” Erriot Wood is excited to continue adding new characters to their scarecrow scavenger hunt and is also patiently awaiting the growth of Christmas trees .

Founded in 2021 in Tenterden , All Said & Done is a candle and wax melt business created by Helen Jukes , who transformed her passion for creativity into a business that blends luxury with sustainability . With a background in fine art and education , and a series of health challenges that encouraged a change in direction , Helen started crafting eco-friendly candles using plant-based wax and vegan-friendly scents . The brand ’ s commitment to the environment extends beyond the products , with seeded labels and tags embedded with British wildflower seeds , allowing customers to plant and grow something beautiful from their purchases and , inspiring the name , creating products that offer a moment of relaxation and reflection at the end of the day ‘ when all is said and done ’. Grateful for the support of fellow local small businesses , Helen shares what ’ s next for All Said & Done . “ I have found the process of making candles therapeutic and wanted to allow my customers to experience the process in my candle classes ,” she says . “ Moving forward , I would like to expand my candle classes and add my massage candle to my product range , introducing a skin nourishing and relaxing experience .”
