Visit the Margate Caves this summer holidays for a host of fantastical adventures suitable for all ages . Open daily throughout the warmer months , the historical landmark will be inviting families to embark on a treasure island adventure in the magnificent and transporting caves , which have welcomed visitors since 1863 . Kiddies can also look forward to Messy Mondays , where a variety of pirate and treasure themed crafts will be available each week from 11am - 4pm in the community rooms for only £ 1.50 per child .

Free games and kites will be available to borrow from the Visitor Centre and for keen explorers , an adventure pack will also be given for explorations and wildlife spotting around the rolling parkland . From 5 - 11 August , Knole will also host Royal Tudor Week , offering themed crafts , interactive activities and the opportunity to dress up like royalty and pose for a family portrait .
