The first steam engine , Bronhilde , arrived in 1979 , paving the way for more ambitious projects including rebuilt stations , a turntable and a larger locomotive shed . The railway ’ s collection now represents narrow-gauge systems from around the world and features complementary attractions such as traction engines , vintage cars and a model railway .
