Lifelong Staple resident opens Summerfield Nurseries show home on 90th birthday

Local housebuilder Elivia Homes was joined by lifelong Staple resident Ron Sear and his wife Sylvia on Saturday 23rd March , to officially open the very first show home at Summerfield Nurseries . The owner of the Summerfield Nursery garden centre that occupied the site before Elivia acquired it , Ron celebrated his milestone 90th birthday by officially opening the development and enjoying an exclusive tour of the new show home , Ivy Cottage .
Ron comments : “ I have been a nursery man all my life , and I was of course sad when our nursery closed after 60 years . But , life goes on , and I was so pleased to have been invited to open the first show home at the new Summerfield Nurseries . Elivia Homes has looked after the site very well , and the homes are looking fantastic already . We are really looking forward to having new neighbours and continuing to watch the development flourish in years to come .”
