A SEASIDE SUMMER OF FILM UNDER THE STARS
Visitors and locals alike are set for a summer of free cinema fun as Folkestone Harbour unveils a schedule of cult classics and blockbuster hits that will be screened - for free - at The Goods Yard this summer .
To a backdrop of sea views and surrounded by a host of tempting gourmet street food and drink pitstop options , film buffs can enjoy a wave of open-air screenings from the screen-side deckchairs or dining benches , kicking off with Grease on 3 May , with other cult classics such as Mamma Mia ! ( 17 May ), Clueless ( 31 May ), Footloose ( 28 June ,) and Back to the Future ( 19 July ) alongside new hits Barbie ( 9 Aug ) and Top Gun : Maverick ( 30 Aug ).
Films are scheduled every Friday evening ( plus Saturday 27 July ) at 7pm until 13 September and will join a roster alongside a range of top sporting events including the UEFA Euro 2024 , Wimbledon and the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games , all showing free on the Harbour Screen . Water Lane , the Victorian walled garden , restaurant and events space near Hawkhurst in the High Weald of Kent , has partnered with Soap & Salvation to sell a bespoke edit of vintage and antique garden furniture and pieces , which have been exclusively sourced for Water Lane .

Launched on Friday 29 April at Water Lane , visitors can now find time-worn French iron tables and chairs mixing colours and styles for sale , vintage hand-woven basketry in all shapes and sizes , galvanised planters with hand-painted blocks of green , cream and egg-yolk yellow , and a collection of beautiful urns from the eastern Mediterranean with naïve hand-painted patterns , half-glazed necks and simplistic scribed decoration .
Soap & Salvation was founded by Jo and Barrie McPherson - sourcing from the heart , they mix antique , vintage and 20th-century design finds to create their modern rustic style . The partnership at Water Lane brings their passion for sourcing and collecting unique treasures with a joint reverence for functional everyday objects that combine beauty and solid craftsmanship .

Founded by Margate-based events professional Jonathan Sawyers , who brings 10 years ’ experience in the wedding industry , Boutique Weddings Kent ’ s ambition is to offer a different wedding experience by partnering with beautiful , unique venues that have not previously been available for hire .
Kent-based private schools such as the historical Dover College , farms and vineyards will all be among the locations where Boutique Weddings Kent will take control of the wedding experience , from booking the day itself , agreeing the running order and the departure of the guests .
