Please tell us a bit about SPL Villas and what you do . SPL Villas is one of the UK ’ s leading villa holiday specialists . Whether it ’ s for a big family holiday or a group of friends getting away together , our range of 1,500 handpicked villas in more than 100 destinations including Croatia , Majorca , Cyprus and Florida , give our customers both variety and value .
All the villas we sell are vetted for safety and security , providing extra reassurance for families . In addition to ATOL protection for our villa holiday packages , we also use the Trust Payments secure online payment gateway and our ABTOT membership to give you extra financial protection .
What inspired you to start the company ? Our owners , Sandra and Peter Linnell , have taken villa holidays with their family for over 25 years . Using the knowledge they ’ d gained about what makes a perfect villa stay for families and friends , they started promoting carefully selected villas in the Canary Islands as Villas We Trust in 2017 .
Our portfolio of villas and destinations grew , and in 2020 we relaunched the company as SPL Villas . Even though the company has grown , we ’ ve never forgotten why it was started in the first place – a commitment to providing the best villa holidays for families .
What sets you apart from the competition ? We have recently secured what ’ s called ATOL Certification , which means that we are now able to combine villas with flights from more than a dozen different airlines departing from most UK airports into a single , financially protected package . This makes it even easier for people to book their dream villa escape through one company and with built-in ATOL security , if something unforeseen happens , they won ’ t be out of pocket . Our new offering aims to reduce holiday admin and make booking less complicated , which is not something every villa holiday company offers !
