March , a significant month , not just for celebrating my fellow Pisceans ’ birthdays , but for the myriad of important dates , changes and blossoming opportunities for the year ahead - a true ‘ march ’ forward .
First , we march for change as we celebrate International Women ’ s Day ; leading the charge with our special Kent Women in Business feature which returns on p68 , spotlighting the remarkable achievements of leading businesswomen in the county and sharing their tips for success .
It ’ s also time to celebrate the important women in our home lives too . We have rounded up a selection of days out , dining and bonding activities from p53 , to share with your loved ones this Mother ’ s Day .
Our other proud march is for the importance of quality learning at any age , highlighted in our first education special feature of the year starting on p157 . Demonstrating the importance of everything from a bespoke approach to learning and digital downtime , to outdoor activities and reading for pleasure , to exploring a plethora of new learning experiences from basket weaving to language lessons and new books to enjoy ; underpinned with contributions from educational experts .
Beyond the classroom , you ’ ll find some ‘ old school ’ classicwith-a-twist recipes on p100 and can get inspired by this year ’ s latest interior trend , dark academia , on p146 .
March also heralds the march into spring ; so how about some inspiration for making the most of the new season with our guide to spring stays and rainy day activities on p42 - we ’ ve even thrown in some weather-proofed fashion ideas from p126 to kit you out in style !
And that ’ s not all ! This month you can also enter Visit Kent ’ s BIGGEST competition to win FREE tickets for a whole host of top Kentish attractions - exclusively for Kent residents - as The BIG Weekend returns ! Turn to p50 to find out how to enter - good luck !
I ’ m off to munch my way through Mini Eggs before squeezing into my gladrags to celebrate with my fellow finalists at the Kent Women in Business Awards on 8 March .
Here ’ s to always marching forwards Kent !
