Our vibrant Infant School is always abuzz with purposeful activity , as we believe that young children learn best when they are motivated through active learning experiences .
Pupils are taught by a class teacher with support from a teaching assistant , with specialist teaching for selected subjects . Lessons take place through a combination of whole class learning , small group and individual work , ensuring that all pupils are appropriately challenged and supported to achieve their very best .
Reception pupils have the freedom to move around the inviting Early Years department , which includes three well-resourced classrooms , an exciting role-play area and a delightful Infant Library .
They enjoy regular off-site Forest School sessions in a stunning woodland environment , as well as exploring our wonderful outside area complete with climbing equipment , bikes and trikes , and a plethora of quality learning resources .
Our goal is to equip every child with the necessary skills to become a confident , enthusiastic and independent learner , preparing them for the engaging opportunities and experiences in our Junior School .
