MHS HOMES RAISES OVER £ 15,000 FOR LOCAL BABY BEREAVEMENT CHARITY
mhs homes are delighted to reveal that in 2023 they raised more than £ 15,000 for their nominated Charity of the Year , Making Miracles , the Kent-based birth trauma and bereavement care charity offering families the support , services and tools they need to help find their ‘ new normal ’ following trauma and grief .
Over the course of the year , mhs homes organised and participated in a range of fundraising events and activities including a charity football match , the Medway Can challenge , a dragon boat race , Valentine ’ s Day shop , Hever Castle triathlon and a charity golf day . On top of this , an office snack fridge , Christmas party and various charity pots , brought the total raised to an incredible £ 15,338 .
The money will go towards helping to support even more families , so they never have to feel alone in their grief .

Making Miracles is such a fantastic charity , and we are thrilled that we were able to raise more than £ 15,000 to help them provide even more vital support .”

educate decision-makers to further support families through baby trauma and loss , specifically about the importance of the impact this has on an entire family ’ s mental health .

SNOWDROP & PLANT FAIR AT HOLE PARK GARDENS
Booking is open for the annual Snowdrop & Plant Fair at Hole Park in Rolvenden as it returns on Sunday 11 February .
This event , the first in a series of Plant Fair Roadshows being held in 2024 , allows visitors to meet and talk to some of the South East ’ s most knowledgeable specialist plant nursery men and women , who will also be selling their speciality blooms which have been grown and nurtured in the region .
A second roadshow will be held at Hole Park on Sunday 19 August 2024 between 11am and 4pm .

MYTIME ACTIVE LAUNCHES BROMLEY MUSCULOSKELETAL HEALTH HUBS
Charitable leisure trust , Mytime Active , has launched its Musculoskeletal ( MSK ) Health Hubs to support people living with chronic joint pain in Bromley .
The MSK Health Hubs will provide exercise , rehabilitation and wellbeing support to help people maintain mobility and reduce pain , as well as improve the health of patients before and after surgery , with specialist classes in Bromley at the Spa at Beckenham and Walnuts Leisure Centre in Orpington .
Local residents can join the six-week health programme through self-referral or via a health or social prescriber . The programme consists of a digital health assessment followed by specialised exercise sessions both in the gym and in the pool .
NATIONAL GARDEN SCHEME KENT 2024
As the days get lighter and fresh green shoots herald the return of spring , it ’ s a perfect time to start planning visits to Kent ’ s wonderful open gardens , all handily referenced in the free National Garden Scheme Kent booklet .
Available from mid-February and free to pick up from local libraries , garden centres , plant fairs and open gardens , it lists the mainly private gardens that will be opening across the county including new openings , Lynsted Community Kitchen Garden and Charles Darwin ’ s ‘ living laboratory ’ and family home , Down House .
