It ’ s also important that a designer listens to your needs / wants and is flexible in their design approach in achieving a functional and beautiful space for you .
What design trends did you see in 2023 and what are you expecting to see in 2024 ?
I saw a lot of earthy tones , geometric tiles and patterned textiles in 2023 , which are likely to continue into 2024 . This year expect to see lots of arches in design and curved furniture , along with chocolate brown shades and statement tiles . Sustainability and biophilic design will also continue to be really important .
What is the most satisfying thing about being an interior designer and what do you enjoy most about it ?
The thing I enjoy the most is designing a space that genuinely changes the lives of those living in it . Whether that ’ s changing the room layout and making it a more functional space for their needs , or creating a space that they actually enjoy spending time in . Your home should be a reflection of you , it should be a place where you can relax and I love helping people achieve this . The most satisfying thing for me is analysing floor plans and coming up with different layouts for a space … and of course styling a room and adding all of the finishing touches !
