“ Family and food is what Christmas is all about for me . Mum and I have a yearly visit to Chapel Down for our Christmas wine ( and treat ourselves to lunch at the same time !), the turkey comes from a local farm , and there ’ s always a slab of Ashmore cheddar on the cheeseboard . But I do also enjoy heading down to Saltwood on Boxing Day to catch up with a few friendly faces and watch the Boxing Day run that my dad originally helped to found .” - LORNA MORRIS , GRAPHIC DESIGNER , insideKENT @ lornamorris
“ Grace and I love taking welly walks through the National Trust ’ s Sissinghurst Castle Gardens and hearing the leaves crunch underfoot . Just when we are feeling chilly , we have lunch at the beautiful West House .” - ALEX YATES , HEAD CHEF , BOWLEYS AT THE PLOUGH , TROTTISCLIFFE , @ bowleys _ restaurant /@ alexyates _ chef
“ I love the magical look of Biddenden High Street when the Christmas lights are on and having a pint or two at The Three Chimneys next to the log fire .” - GRAHAM GARRETT , HEAD CHEF AND OWNER AT THE WEST HOUSE RESTAURANT & ROOMS , BIDDENDEN , @ thewesthouserestaurant /@ grahamgarrett _ chef
“ I ’ m going to be by the coast this year ; I ’ m envisaging a walk up Steep Street in Folkestone for some local goodies and a Christmas Eve drink in Sandgate followed by a wonderful family Christmas where the table is filled with local delights – including Gilda Bakery ’ s stollen and yule log , all topped off with a Boxing Day dip – you just can ’ t beat it .” - ASHLEIGH BRITTEN , FEATURES WRITER , insideKENT @ ashleighbrittenmedia
