For me , Christmas is all about family . From fights over the crispiest roast potato to the largest Yorkshire pud , tear-rolling , laughter-inducing charades and games , to days out at special places , and a huge “ We ’ ll have to do it again then won ’ t we ...” shouted at full pelt at The Marlowe ( IYKYK ), it ’ s that gentle reminder that we all need some much needed indulgent downtime and the best gift of all is doing that with people you love .
And love shouldn ’ t stay at home . There are also lots of very good causes needing your support this year more than ever . From shopping locally and eating at indie cafes and restaurants to joining a Christmas initiative such as one of the hospice ’ s Christmas Tree
CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT THE BEAUTIFUL LEEDS CASTLE
recycling schemes , signing up to a charity fundraising pledge for the new year , offering an hour of your time , or simply donating what you can afford ( even if just £ 1 ) to support a small community initiative , food bank drive , local charity or national initiative , you can make a crucial difference this Christmas .
Remember , even the smallest help will make the biggest difference and offer more fulfilment than you can ever imagine .
We truly hope you have a wonderful Christmas . Good luck with the competition and thank you for all of your support towards insideKENT over the past year .
From all of us here at insideKENT , Merry Kentmas !
