The Bespoke Sign House
The Bespoke Sign Company started in 2020 when Jack Tompsett and Kris Goodenough envisioned converting an old cow shed on Jack ’ s family farm to create a workshop sign house where they would make their customer-focused signs .
Specialising in signs , their customers come to them for various jobs , including door numbers , memorial plaques and other bespoke signage . Other custom jobs have included engraved business logos , wedding plaques and connections with the globally recognised app ‘ what3words ’. Their signs are beautifully handcrafted in their workshop from slate or granite stone .
While they love creating bespoke orders for local customers and turning a vision into the real thing , they ' ve also taken some orders from further afield . Regularly taking orders from the US , Europe , Australia , Japan , Hong Kong , Saudia Arabia and Botswana , all of their signs are made in love in their Kent-based workshop .
From the beginning , sustainability has been a massive focus for The Bespoke Sign Company , and they have implemented many measures to monitor their environmental footprint . They have created a solution for zero-plastic packaging , use timber-based wall plugs , repurpose their stone off-cuts and monitor their emissions . They plan to reduce waste further by removing the final few plastics from manufacturing with the long-term goal of being net zero .

Creek Creative Studios
Creek Creative Studios is Faversham ' s all-inclusive , friendly , independent non-profit arts facility . They combine art galleries , project / event / teaching spaces and a Gallery Kitchen Café and Artisan Shop with art studios , workshops and co-working desks for around 45 Artists , designer-makers and other creative industry professionals .
Established in July 2009 by partners Anne MacLaren and Simon Giles , with much local community support , Creek Creative is situated between Faversham town centre and Creek ( where historic Abbey Street begins ). It occupies three floors of a former late-Victorian brewery building , mainly consisting of artist / maker studio workshops and co-working spaces . Visitors will find upper gallery art exhibitions refreshed on average fortnightly , and occasionally more in the basement lower gallery , which otherwise hosts various classes ( as does their print studio ). The Gallery Kitchen Café offers delicious light lunches ( with many freefrom options ). The charming Artisan Shop is packed with locally-crafted , affordable jewellery , ceramics , prints , paintings and unusual gifts .
They plan to revamp their basement studios with new ceiling lids , toilet facility modifications , and a potential Media Pod Studio , as well as expanding the Artisan Shop and gallery online as an e-shop outlet . They also plan to broaden its arts education provision with more frequent and varied short courses and one-day workshops .
