An annual four-day event celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023 is the Tenterden Folk Festival . A collaboration of creativity kick started by a special fundraising concert and followed by joyful barn dances , live music , dance displays , crafts and storytelling . Known as The Festival on the Hill is the wellestablished annual festival hosted by St Edmund ’ s School in Canterbury . An event started in 2017 with an aim to create a celebration of the outstanding talent of young people of the arts , but that has since firmly made its mark and now also welcomes worldclass performers to the stage . Join the week-long festival brimming with music , art , theatrical performances and more , this year featuring a showcase from award-winning saxophonist Jess Gillam , workshops from renowned vocal coach Mark De-Lisser , and an afternoon with acclaimed band The Ray Gelato Giants .
