One of the biggest tablescaping trends this year ( believe it or not ) is taking our Christmas setups outside . Given the right weather , drinking and dining outdoors can feel somewhat magical during the winter months . Create an inviting outdoor space by adding plenty of soft furnishings ; the key to a comforting space outside is thick chunky blankets and throws . Add fairy lights , lanterns and candles for warmth and create a place where friends and family can gather , sip mulled wine and indulge in a mountain of cheese .
