Luxmuralis comes to Canterbury Cathedral for the first time , bringing together three of their most popular light and sound shows . Visitors are invited to journey through immersive sound and light installations in different areas of the sacred space to explore life on earth , the wonders of space and the discoveries of science . Highlighting the architectural features of the majestic cathedral , the works have been digitally and artistically created by artistic collaboration Luxmuralis , with soundscapes composed by David Harper and projections created by Sculptor Peter Walker . The artworks inspire contemplation on our human existence , the creation of our planet and our human impact upon it – reflecting ecology and the beauty of the world around us . The sounds and textures of humanity , extinction and time are portrayed , and the contributions of science in understanding the physical world around us . This is a unique experience not to be missed .

As we head into autumn , and with Christmas right around the corner , be sure to join us for our cosy cocktail evenings this November . At £ 25 per person , this includes two cocktails and 25 % off our delicious sharing platters of locally sourced charcuterie , cheese , seafood and vegetables . Bring your friends and family , sip on festive cocktails and enjoy the start of Christmas celebrations at Balfour Winery . Following some fabulous fire performances , join us with the countdown to our spectacular firework display to mark the end of a great season and the beginning of our winter festivities .
The evening will be entertaining for all ages with activities including children ’ s fairground rides ( cash only ), glow sticks galore , a licensed bar and food concessions . During the afternoon ( before fireworks ), you will still be able to enjoy the free entertainment at Kent Life including indoor and outdoor play areas , tractor rides , the vintage buildings and animal feeding sessions .
There ’ s no need to rush off after , why not stop off at Dotty ’ s tea room for a luxurious hot chocolate ( or two ). Kent Life opens at 3pm . The firework display will begin at 6pm . Please note the gates will be closed and last admission will be at 5.30pm .
