AUTUMN COLOUR AT HEVER CASTLE

Head gardener , Neil Miller and his team will be hosting weekly workshops ( 5 , 12 and 19 October ) with subjects including how to create a container of bulbs ready for spring as well as tips on jobs to do in the garden . On 19 October , gardener Darren Clarke will host a Tremendous Trees Workshop and trail where visitors can find out more about Japanese maples and the colourful trees in the grounds . The beautiful gardens at Hever Castle are ablaze with colour in autumn and the team have created an immersive self-guided Autumn Trail . Younger visitors can also pick up a home craft collection bag to gather fallen leaves and make their very own autumn sun catcher at home .

Join the History Hikers on an afternoon hike around the lovely Kentish countryside with a walk around Otham . Enjoy fabulous views of the North Downs , walk through fields , meadows and ancient woodlands , see timber-framed cottages , an oast house and a yeoman farmer ' s house . With both country views and history , this walk has it all ! Except dogs , canines are unfortunately not permitted .
