Spend the day learning all there is to know about keeping chickens at home . Meet and handle some of instructor Lizzie ’ s own chickens . The day covers practical chicken care including choosing the correct type of hen for you , catching and holding the hens , inspecting , washing , wing clipping and egg laying . By the end of the course , participants will know everything needed to set up with their own chickens . You will be entirely confident to keep hens , keep them healthy , treat ailments , breed chicks and generally gain enjoyment from your poultry .

Make the most of your day by starting your journey from Hythe and enjoying a snack from Hythe Coffee Shop before taking your seat on the train for New Romney to admire over 30 vintage buses , coaches and taxis in the car park area . Explore New Romney Station to see and take photos of the buses , coaches and taxis . With a vintage bus picking up from Ashford International .

Enjoy exciting woodland demonstrations taking place over the weekend including chainsaw carving , woodturning , spoon carving , campfire cooking , horse logging , pole lathe turning as well as vintage tractors and a fantastic display of stationary steam engines . The main arena attractions run continuously throughout the day and will include Joe ’ s Bows Falconry Display , gun dog demonstrations , ferret racing , terrier racing , Fun Dog Show ( Sunday only ) and new for 2022 , The Mini Pony Show . Includes many different craft making activities such as clay creations and flower crowns , creepy claws animal display and Arbor : part-man , part-tree . There will also be a range of craft stalls , local food and drink .
