MIXOLOGIST COCKTAIL LOUNGE SET TO OPEN ON ROCHESTER HIGH STREET
Boasting three themed lounges and a menu with over 25 different cocktails , The Mixologist is set to be an exciting new cocktail lounge full of theatrics and flamboyance . Experienced mixologists will man the bar ready to create tantalising cocktails and spectacular tipples for guests . The owners behind the new venture are dynamic couple , Oliver Tulett and Helen Finch , who are very excited to be opening the establishment in the former Bistro M site . Three themed lounges with low seating , low tables and velvet seats are ready to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere while chilled , Ibiza-style music will be playing in the background . The extensive cocktail list includes Kent-themed drinks and others go with the theme of the lounges .
LIFT CAFÉ TO OPEN ADVENTURE GOLF COURSE ON FOLKESTONE ’ S HARBOUR ARM
A brand-new , purpose-built 12-hole adventure golf course and café is set to open at Folkestone Harbour for the 2022 summer holidays . ‘ Putters ’ will be brought to life by the team behind the incredibly successful Lift Café , which opened in Folkestone ’ s historic Leas Lift in September 2020 . The 12-hole course , developed by the creators of the courses at Leeds Castle and Alton Towers , is currently being built into Beachside . With uninterrupted panoramic views across the Southeast Kent coastline , this is a truly spectacular location to introduce an adventure golf course set into the shingle , dotted with palm trees and boulders . Founders , Jamie and Emily Evans , said : “ We are so excited to be opening up Putters ! To be able to own a cafe on the beach is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity , let alone having it be part of such a fun and popular attraction . Our aim is to bring a high quality , family-friendly food and drink offering to the site which , alongside a fun round of golf should amount to an unforgettable trip to the beach . TELEPHONE BOXES NEXT TO CANTERBURY ’ S WESTGATE TOWERS CONVERTED INTO COFFEE KIOSKS
Two telephone boxes have been converted into an utterly unique quick-stop coffee shop in Canterbury ; named La Cabina , the quirky kiosk is run by 43- year-old Antonio Bolivar . The shop is an offshoot of his business , Burgate Coffee House near the cathedral . Opening its doors last month , La Cabina sells a range of hot and cold beverages at reasonable market prices . Antonio said the idea and opportunity came to him during lockdown after thoughts of reinvention . After seeing the phone boxes had been cleared out and abandoned Antonio contacted BT , after which it took a year to get a licence .
