5 UNUSUAL USES FOR UNWANTED ITEMS
Tins for planters - Most containers can be upcycled into planters , but tins can look really effective when planted with herbs . You could even decorate the outside with string or labels to prettify them .
Jars for candles – Save your jars and transform them into candle holders ; perfect for tealights or making your own wax candles .
Crate coffee tables – If you can get hold of some old wooden crates , or have some laying around , nail them together and create your own coffee table .
Palette shoe racks – Palettes can be used for almost anything - outdoor or indoor furniture , beds , bars - turn them on their side however and you have an instant shoe rack ; a great idea if you ’ re strapped for space .
Empty bottle displays - Make the most of your empty bottles and create a statement display .
