After completing the scenic drive up the winding streets that lead to The Bolthole , it ' s easy to get swept away in the beauty of this English hideaway , where not only was I met with incredible views and a stunning location , once inside I was also able to enjoy the cosy , stylish interior , and look ahead comfortably to all of the fantastic amenities that Hythe as a whole has to offer .
Upon arrival , it ’ s obvious the heart and soul of this property is its location ; boasting gobsmacking panoramic sea views across the channel to France , this little bolthole is perfectly placed . That heart and soul has been reflected in its coastal-chic inspired interior . Open the door to a snug , and stylishly decorated living room-come-kitchen-diner ; a space that feels bright , airy and instantly inviting . A lovely touch , the plush blue sofa also folds down into a sofa bed providing ample sleeping space for additional guests .
The soft blue hues , clean lines and soothing colours pay homage to its seaside location , while splashes of yellow and gold finishes make the space feel cool and contemporary . Head upstairs to The Bolt Hole ’ s calming bedroom space , which is the ultimate place to unwind . A shower is cleverly concealed behind the bed wall , and there ’ s also a designated workspace with views so dreamy you ’ ll likely get no work done , so a better idea is to sink into the crisp white sheets and gaze out of the picture windows , which frame the setting beautifully .
With a name that perfectly represents its character and location , The Bolt Hole is beautifully tucked away into the side of one of Hythe ' s steep hillsides that lies opposite the English Channel .
