Taking place in one of Kent ’ s most famous and beautifully picturesque seaside towns , from 5 - 12 August is Broadstairs Folk Week ( www . broadstairsfolkweek . org . uk ), a traditional folk music festival for all ages to enjoy . Over the past 55 years , the festival has become a magnet for people who love authentic music and the opportunity to meet up with an extended family of every generation . Broadstairs Folk Week festivalgoers love discovering new bands , seeing old favourites and chancing upon things they never expected to delight them at a Folk Festival . All the major venues for ticketed events are located in the town , meaning Folk Week is also a great way to explore the very best of Broadstairs . With everything from intimate pub gigs to concerts , as well as singing and dancing that everyone can get involved in , Broadstairs is set to be a thriving summer hotspot full of culture , arts and vibrancy during this week .
A weekend which celebrates the best of skate and surf culture , Blue Reef Festival ( www . bluereeffest . co . uk ) in Maidstone from 15 - 17 July is set to be full of amazing entertainment . This includes live music , from rocking bands to mellow acoustic sets , split over two stages ; locally sourced and supplied food and drinks and an array of stalls from super talented artists and makers including Matt J
Adams who will be creating a live street art piece over the course of the weekend . There will also be a fabulous collection of classic and custom VW campervans , motorcycles and scooters to marvel at too .
