Operating just off the coast of the beautiful seaside town of Whitstable , Oyster Coast Watersports have been delivering RYA ( Royal Yachting Association ) courses to keen water enthusiasts since 2009 . Learn the ropes and book onto one of the RYA courses whether that be an advanced powerboat or skipper course ; you don ’ t have to be a pro-boater to take part . Other courses include sailing , windsurfing and paddle boarding ; take lessons , get to grips or take a leisurely paddle safari along that stretch of coastline . Fancy sailing ? Now ' s your chance . Take a taster session with an instructor , or if you ’ ve tried it before , take a refresher and blow away the cobwebs . It doesn ’ t stop there , Oyster Coast offers boat trips to Whitstable ’ s visitors including a look at Maunsell Forts , or a chance to catch a glimpse at a local colony of common seals through the summer months . Join Helen on a supping adventure along the River Medway , or try your hand at Sup Yoga and optimise the benefits of the float and flow ; if you feel confident enough that is … Helen ’ s passion for SUP ’ ing started on a holiday in Poole where she first encountered paddleboarders . From that day on SUP ’ ing became her addiction and she now shares her passion and enthusiasm with her fellow students about the sport that keeps you fit and healthy , while also being meditative , social and completely exhilarating .
Join Helen on one of her many courses ; start with the basics on a group paddle boarding session , or touch up on your technique with the skills and drills lesson . A new and very exciting wakeboard and aqua park is opening in Kent , and it ’ s definitely one to add to the must-do list this summer . Situated in the pretty seaside town of Sandwich , the purpose built park will open to the public in July offering an array of water sports activities to all ages . An experienced wakeboarder ' s heaven , the lake comes equipped with a state-of-the-art five-tower ski rixen cable system and is the first of its kind in the county . Have no fear though , it ' s not just designed for the pros , the unit features cater for riders of all disciplines ; practice , play or compete to your heart ' s content . The park will also boast an entirely separate fun-filled lake , playing host to a Total Wipeout style inflatable aqua course ; fun for all the family and ideal for kids ’ parties ! Open-water swimmers will also be welcome to use the lake ' s facilities at certain times of the year .
