THE CORNER HOUSE OPENS STUNNING NEW DINING SPACE IN CANTERBURY
The Corner House in Canterbury is now bigger and better thanks to a beautiful new dining space created in the restaurant ’ s sunny garden . The new building will seat up to 26 guests with bi-fold doors opening up onto the garden , providing a welcome sense of escape from the hustle and bustle of the city . Outside seating will also be available for those looking for al fresco drinks and snacks . In addition to two dining rooms , the Corner House Canterbury has five beautifully designed guest rooms offering the perfect destination for couples looking for a cultured city break with some of the best food that Kent can offer . The rooms are inclusive of a continental breakfast tray including homemade granola , yoghurt and homemade berry compote , fresh fruit , fresh milk and orange juice . Matt took the decision to close his first restaurant in Minster last month , moving his team to work in the Canterbury restaurant . The extension brings the restaurant up to 80 covers , providing space for larger celebrations and events .

SEVEN KENT RESTAURANTS NOMINATED IN JUNE ’ S ASIAN RESTAURANT AWARDS
The prestigious awards ceremony , held in Manchester on June 27 , saw a whopping seven of Kent ’ s curry houses shortlisted for a plethora of different awards . Indian Essence in Orpington , Everest Inn in Ashford , Taj Cuisine in Chatham , Ambrette in Canterbury , Rajdani in Kingsdown , Jumerira in Staplehurst , and Shampan in Westerham were the seven selected restaurants determined by over 100,000 votes from members of the public . The winner at the year ’ s event will be included in the Asian Catering Federation ’ s new One Hundred Top Curry Restaurants guide at www . top100curryrestaurants . co . uk , with a printed version being available next year .
